How do I startup or set up my camera?
Which app must I use for the TerraWatch camera?
Please download and use the official V380 Pro app. You can search for “V380 Pro” in your app store or use the official download page: https://v380.app/
Avoid similar-looking V380 apps that are full of adverts or do not match the setup screens.
What do I need before setting up the camera?
Before setup, make sure the camera has enough power, your smartphone has internet access, and you have your WiFi name and password ready.
For WiFi setup, use a 2.4GHz WiFi network only. The camera does not connect to 5GHz WiFi.
Does the camera work with 5GHz WiFi?
No. For WiFi setup, the camera must connect to a 2.4GHz WiFi network. If your router has both 2.4GHz and 5GHz, make sure you select the 2.4GHz WiFi name during setup.
How do I switch on and reset the camera?
Place the camera in direct sunlight or connect it to a USB charger until it has enough power.
When the camera starts correctly, it should say something like “System is starting” or “Waiting for connection”.
If it does not enter setup mode, press and hold the reset button for about 5 to 10 seconds until you hear “Reset success” or “Waiting for WiFi config”.
Where is the reset button?
The reset button is located next to the memory card slot. On some units, you may need to open the small cover where the memory card slot is located.
If the camera needs to be reset, press and hold the rectangular reset button until the camera returns to setup mode.
How do I connect the camera to WiFi?
Open the V380 Pro app and choose Add Device.
Select WiFi Smart Camera, then choose Smart WiFi Connection, QR Connect, or the similar option shown in your app.
Enter your 2.4GHz WiFi name and password.
The app will show a QR code on your phone. Hold your phone about 15 to 20 cm in front of the camera lens and keep it steady.
Wait until the camera says “WiFi connecting” and then “Connection successful”. This can take about 1 to 2 minutes.
Why is the QR code not scanning?
Increase your phone brightness, hold your phone about 15 to 20 cm from the camera lens, keep it steady, and avoid glare on the phone screen.
If it still does not scan, reset the camera and try again.
What should I name my camera in the app?
Use a clear name so you know which camera you are viewing.
Good examples include:
• Front Gate
• Shed
• Water Tank
• Yard
• Entrance
• Livestock Camp
• Shop Front
• Borehole
• Workshop
Can I move the camera lens from my phone?
Yes. Open the camera live view in the V380 Pro app and use the PTZ controls to move the lens left, right, up or down.
Can the camera follow movement automatically?
Yes. In the V380 Pro app, open the camera live view, go to More, and activate Motion Track if you want the camera to follow movement automatically.
How do I set the correct time zone?
In the V380 Pro app, go to the camera settings and open Device Time.
Choose South Africa UTC+02:00 as the time zone.
How do I activate motion alerts?
Open the camera settings in the V380 Pro app and go to Alarm Settings.
Switch Alarm on. The camera should show as Armed for alerts to work.
For person-based alerts, activate Humanoid Detection if your app shows this option.
Why am I not receiving notifications?
Make sure the camera is Armed, Alarm is switched on, and phone notifications are allowed for the V380 Pro app.
Also check the app settings for Alarm Message, Device Alarm Push, or Phone Settings/Sound, depending on your app version.
How do I turn off adverts in the V380 Pro app?
Open the V380 Pro app and go to Profile, then Settings.
Scroll to Blocking Ads and choose the option to block ads for 14 days.
If adverts return after 14 days, repeat the same process.
What should I check if the camera will not connect?
Check the following:
• Make sure you are using 2.4GHz WiFi, not 5GHz
• Re-enter the WiFi password carefully
• Move the camera closer to the router during setup
• Reset the camera and try again

What should I check if the camera shows offline?
Check the camera battery or solar charging, your router internet connection, and whether the camera is still within WiFi range.
If needed, restart the router and reset the camera.
Should I test the camera after installation?
Yes. After installation, test the camera during the day and again at night to confirm the viewing angle, motion detection and notifications are working properly.
